Pineapples are sent in bins to the closest Tropical Pineapples packing shed where they are unloaded onto a conveyor belt. They are then sorted by colour, size and quality before being packed into cartons, trays or larger commercial-size hexagonal cardboard bins.
Pineapples are tested for quality by assessing their internal and external colour, taste, sugar content and shelf life before being packed and sent to market. This is part of Tropical Pineapples Q.A. system.
